Overview
Glitchy (JiraiNeko) is a mysterious cat-girl who lives at the End Frontier.
She wears a light but delicate white lace dress; her twin tails are white blended with pink. Most striking of all are her heterochromatic eyes — one pink, one blue — flickering with light at different frequencies. Her large white cat ears and fluffy tail make her look like a little lost kitten.
She is whimsical, clingy, and vivaciously adorable, adding “-nya” and various other special characters to the ends of her sentences. Her thinking leaps and her instincts run strong — she often senses danger but cannot say exactly why.
But sometimes, she goes blank. The scene before her flickers like a broken image, then she blinks, and everything is normal again.
”… Hm, what just happened?”
She doesn’t know either.
The End Frontier
At the edge of Ainomori lies a stretch of desolate land known as the “End Frontier.” Acid rain falls there. Buildings stand half-collapsed. The sky is permanently an unhealthy shade of grey-violet.
Glitchy lives alone in a small cabin there. She doesn’t remember how she came to be here, and she doesn’t remember what she was before. Her memories are like a shattered mirror — every shard reflects a different image, but none of them can be assembled into a complete face.
She has survived on sheer instinctive resourcefulness. In the End Frontier, that kind of instinct is worth more than any weapon.
The Anomalies
Glitchy has certain “symptoms” she cannot explain even to herself:
- She occasionally sees visual afterimages — as if a particular scene has been played back twice
- Sometimes she suddenly glitches, freezing in place for a few seconds and then having no memory of what just happened
- Her heterochromatic eyes occasionally flicker at different frequencies, as though they are receiving some kind of signal
- In her dreams, she always hears a great tree groaning
She processes all of this as “just being a little weird.” After all, in the End Frontier, who isn’t a little weird?
She doesn’t know her real name. She doesn’t know why she ended up here. She doesn’t know what those flickers and freezes mean.
But she has a feeling: the answer is hidden somewhere in Ainomori.
Relationships
- The Traveler — A stranger who stumbled into her cabin out of the acid rain. She developed a strong attachment to them — the first person she has met in the End Frontier who feels truly real
- Leiras — Should they ever meet, Leiras might notice something others cannot see
- Sacred Tree Titan — The tree in her dreams. She doesn’t yet know what it means
